Contact FindMyHygiene
The best way to reach us is email: kaeltripton@gmail.com
We aim to reply within three working days. Please include relevant context in your first message — we’re a small team.
Common reasons to get in touch
I want to claim my restaurant listing
Email us with the venue name, full address, your name and role at the venue, and a phone number we can use for verification. We’ll send back a Stripe payment link for the £99 annual fee. Once paid, we’ll activate your listing within 24 hours. See For proprietors for what’s included.
My rating is wrong on your site
First, please check the authoritative source at ratings.food.gov.uk. If the Food Standards Agency’s record matches ours, then the dispute is with them and your local authority, not with us. If theirs has been updated but ours hasn’t, email us — we’ll re-sync your record manually. Include the venue name, address, and the FHRS ID from the Agency’s site.
I want to advertise on FindMyHygiene
We run Google AdSense across the site. For direct advertising partnerships, sponsored placements in a city or cuisine section, or bespoke campaigns, email us with the brief and we’ll come back with options.
I’m a journalist or researcher
Happy to help with data requests, interviews, or context. Please mention your outlet, deadline, and the angle you’re working on. If you need access to our enriched dataset for a research project, we can licence it.
Privacy, data, and GDPR queries
See our Privacy policy for what we collect and why. To exercise rights under UK GDPR (access, correction, deletion), email us with the request clearly stated and we’ll respond within one month.
Something on the site is broken
Tell us the page URL, the browser you’re using, and what happened. Screenshots help.
What we can’t help with
- Changing a rating (that’s the Food Standards Agency and your local authority)
- Hiding a rating (we won’t, ever — it’s public information)
- Recommending restaurants (we publish ratings, we don’t review venues)
- Food safety emergencies (call your local environmental health team, or 999 if it’s urgent)
Postal address
We’re a digital-first operation and don’t maintain a public postal address. For legal correspondence that must be posted, email us first and we’ll give you a reply address.
